Experienced Emergency Medicine PA Expert Witness
As a seasoned Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant and Assistant Clinical Professor with over 15 years of practical experience, I bring a rare and invaluable perspective to medical litigation. My work is driven by a passion for advancing the PA profession, which has led me to innovate in clinical practice—including early adoption of bedside ultrasound—and in education. I provide expert analysis and testimony that is not only clinically sound but is also informed by the current standards of care that I teach and practice every day.
My bio…
My dual career as a practicing Emergency Medicine PA and a full-time Clinical Faculty member has cultivated a deep expertise in evaluating the standard of care. I am more than a clinician; I am a dedicated educator and innovator. My passion for teaching and learning led me to launch EMPALife.com early in my career as a platform to reinforce lessons and share insights gained in the busy Emergency Department. This drive for innovation has also shaped my clinical practice, prompting me to develop innovative advanced triage methods to alleviate wait times and to embrace technologies like bedside ultrasound.
I'm an Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeastern University and have served in leadership roles, including Course Director for Advanced Clinical Medicine and Assistant Director of Clinical Education at Boston University. This faculty role ensures my knowledge of medical best practices, curriculum development, and complex topics like healthcare delivery is always current.
In my professional service, I have never shied away from a challenge or an opportunity to advance the PA profession, having served as a Board Member for the Academy of Physician Associates in Legal Medicine (APALM) and as a Director at Large for the Massachusetts Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA), where I helped lead the organization to its highest membership ever. The name of my business, EMPALife, reflects my holistic approach—combining my expertise in Emergency Medicine (EM) with my passion for fitness, philosophy, and self-improvement to offer highly credible, objective, and well-rounded expert witness services.
