Welcome to the Expert’s Edge

The title "expert" is one I’ve approached with caution. It is a heavy mantle to claim in a field as humbling as Emergency Medicine. However, after years of navigating high-stakes decisions and complex diagnoses, I’ve realized that expertise isn’t about being infallible—it’s about learning from peers and experiences to constantly sharpen my clinical acumen.

I don’t fancy myself the sole proprietor of the tips and tricks I share here. Rather, I consider myself a connoisseur of advice, passing along the lessons I’ve gathered and putting my own spin on how to incorporate them into our shifts and our lives. From the core knowledge every EM PA should master to the simple hacks that make life easier inside and out of the ER, I plan to share wisdom from others alongside my own original thoughts.

This is the "salt" of my career: the hard lessons, the close calls, and the clinical pearls I’ve gathered along the way. My goal is to share these insights with transparency and heart, helping you navigate the pitfalls I’ve encountered (or narrowly avoided) and providing you with the tools to practice with more confidence and clarity.

As iron sharpens iron, I welcome your thoughts and questions. Without further ado, I present my thoughts on the many facets of emergency medicine, life, and the space in between.
